The quality of the Cuvée Première comes as no surprise to me, yet it’s not really known to the general public. I used to serve this Côtes-du-Roussillon when I had a wine bar in Paris; it was one of my best-sellers and one of my hidden gems at the time. I’m delighted to find this château in such good shape today. I’d like to say a big thank-you to the Dauré family, and to Estelle in particular, for giving this appellation the recognition it deserves well before everyone else.
Grapes: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Grenache
